10th March – 14th March ♡

This week has been a balance of continuity and new challenges – particularly in presentation and technical design work.
Monday and Tuesday felt like a continuation of the previous week as I carried on refining the image props and material library files. At the same time, I began developing my script for my upcoming Pecha Kucha, which would take place on Friday – This would be an opportunity to update my peers on the progress of my internship since December.
Tuesday’s Master the Art follow-up session was a highlight. In this industry, presenting ideas is an integral part of our work, and having another opportunity to work on those skills – especially in a setting where I could receive feedback – was invaluable. It made me more conscious of my delivery and how I engage an audience, which, in hindsight, was perfect timing ahead of Friday’s Pecha Kucha.
On Wednesday, I started modelling counterpoints. I enjoyed experimenting with variations and seeing how subtle changes could impact the outcome. My tutorial with Ellie was another key moment – learning new Vectorworks skills always feels like unlocking another level, and I left the session feeling much more equipped. Checking in with Gary gave me a sense of how my work was progressing and reassured me that I was on track.
By Thursday, I completed the counterpoints and uploaded the file to the server. A quick briefing with Daniel brought a new challenge – creating Vectorworks textures for portraits. I was able to complete this task briefly, and with the Pecha Kucha the following day, it was a relief to finish all of my preparation by that evening.
And then Friday arrived – Pecha Kucha day! Updating everyone on my journey and learning about my peers’ internship experiences made for a truly insightful session. Presenting my work to an audience felt like a valuable milestone in my growth, and the feedback from both peers and tutors was encouraging and motivating.
