Week 22

24th March – 28th March ♡

This week felt a little slower-paced overall, but I still managed to make meaningful progress in key areas, especially around my dissertation planning and internship tasks.

Monday began with a hands-on start as I modelled a Pepper’s Ghost mock-up. It was a great opportunity to engage with a more physical, experimental form of design thinking. Alongside this, I spent time developing my dissertation skeleton map, gradually building a structure that’s beginning to feel more cohesive and well thought-out.

Tuesday continued in a similar vein as I dedicated the day to refining the skeleton map. It’s been helpful to take my time with it, allowing ideas to settle and connections to emerge more naturally.

Wednesday was unfortunately a sick day, so I had to pause and prioritise rest. While not ideal, the break gave me space to reset and recover, which I know is just as important for staying on track long-term.

Thursday saw me return to work with renewed energy. I focused on developing presentation slides for objects from tone of our ongoing museum projects, which challenged me to think carefully about both the visual storytelling and historical context of each piece. It was a reminder of the importance of sensitivity and clarity when dealing with emotionally charged subjects.

Friday was a quieter, more reflective end to the week. I spent time reading through and familiarising myself with a recently submitted final Stage 2 report. It was useful to see how everything had come together and to gain a better understanding of the project’s direction moving forward.

Despite a midweek setback, the week still felt purposeful. I’m steadily making progress on my dissertation, gaining more clarity in my approach, and learning to adapt when things don’t go exactly to plan.
